Tenley G.
Tenley was a teenage student at the Visual Art Institute, who went on to study linguistics and physics at the University of Utah. She later transferred to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Tenley earned a 4.0 GPA at SAIC, where she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion/Apparel Design. She is very well-educated in men’s and women’s garment construction, from concept inception to patterning, constructing and fitting.
Tenley has used her fashion skills in a wide array of projects and positions, ranging from assisting with elaborate costume for performance art, to wardrobe standby on the sets of commercials and music videos, to cobbling hand-made shoes for clientele. Tenley has worked in the US and the UK with fashion and costume designers such as Ameena Kara Callender, Annie Novotny, and Bambi Breakstone. She continues to work as a freelance designer, and has also found another passion as an English instructor. She moved to Tokyo, Japan in 2019 and is currently serving others in both capacities.
