Meghana K.
Meghana was a student at the Visual Art Institute, who went on to study graphic design and printmaking at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore. She was Utah’s 2003 Visual Arts Sterling Scholar from West High School. When she was asked about her time at VAI, Meghana said:
“I remember how I felt, and how I felt was that this was my second home. I felt really safe there to explore, to experiment. Having that time of three days per week, going there for three to four years, that consistency of being able to go somewhere to learn and find out what my voice is when it comes to visual arts, was really invaluable.”
Meghana later studied Interaction Design at School of Visual Arts in New York City and joined a field called Civic Technology, which is focused on design work and research for the public good. She has worked for international non profits, and has been working for a company focused on improving government tech through design.
