Grace L.

Grace was a student at the Visual Art Institute from age 10-19. She went to Judge Memorial Catholic High School and is currently studying graphic design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Grace was awarded a presidential merit-based scholarship, which renews each year based on grades. When asked about her time at the Visual Art Institute, Grace said:

“VAI prepared me with a lot of technical and foundational drawing and painting skills that helped me succeed in my foundation classes. I had a sense of confidence coming into my college classes because I had experience with a lot of different mediums and I had acquired a bunch of different skill sets from the variety of classes VAI offered.”

Grace came back to Salt Lake City during the coronavirus pandemic. During that time, she was working at VAI while taking online classes from Pratt. In the fall she headed back to New York to attend classes in person.
