David C.
David was a teenage student at Visual Art Institute. He studied at the University of Utah and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in English with an emphasis in Visual Arts. When asked about his time as a student at VAI, David said:
“VAI offered me a community and a space in which I was able to explore my creativity under the mentorship of professional fine artists. We were offered a variety of mediums and tools to explore new avenues of expression. VAI supported my artistic journey and helped me to cultivate the skills to pursue my passion. It is an excellent place for students to learn, engage with an artistic community, and nourish their creativity.”
David lives in Salt Lake City, where he works as a full-time artist & signpainter for Harmons. He has designed and painted menu boards for local restaurants such as Café Oasis, Pulp, and Lake Effect while working on commissioned projects. David uses various mediums including oil, watercolor, acrylic, graphite, and pastel, all of which he was able to explore during his time at the Visual Art Institute.
