Anna W.
Anna was a student at the Visual Art Institute from age 10-18. She studied at Otis College of Art & Design in LA, and later at Brigham Young University. She has fond memories of the warm community of students & teachers at the Visual Institute and remains in contact with many peers from her years as a student there. When asked about her time at VAI, Anna said:
“The classes I took at Visual Art Institute were a very different experience compared to my public school art courses. One of the things that sets VAI apart from public art education is that every single one of VAI’s students love art and are passionate about creating. The atmosphere at VAI is electric with this synergetic creativity, which is truly inspiring. I learned so much from my peers and teachers. VAI was like a second home to me.”
Many students who studied at VAI after Anna graduated were privileged to learn to draw & paint her as she came to the school and modeled for figure academy summer camps. Anna still makes art and loves to teach others, especially her children, the lessons she learned as a student at the Visual Art Institute.
