Adriana (“Addie”) is the in-house graphic designer at Visual Art Institute. As a former student and long-time instructor at VAI, she has a strong desire to communicate to our art-loving audience how special this program really is. Addie graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon and has been working as an illustrator & designer since 2012. She is known for her collaged mixed media drawings of people in “minds eye” environments, who are often in the process of learning, discovering, or practicing something new. She has designed ads and editorial illustrations for international companies and publications, and she especially enjoys making art to celebrate arts education, child development, and family and community life.
When she’s not working, Addie loves to travel with her husband, go to museums with their kids, and go for walks and hikes outside. She also enjoys making art with her children and covering their house in large designs they work on together. Before moving, their first little “art house” was featured on Apartment Therapy in 2022.
